The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Na’im Al-Abboudi, chaired the periodic meeting of the Education, Youth, and Sports Committee, a subcommittee of the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council.

During the meeting, attended by the Minister of Education, the President of the Advisory Board, representatives from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Iraqi National Olympic Committee, the Joint Coordination Council Secretariat, and the rapporteur of the Education, Youth, and Sports Committee, the members discussed various aspects of cooperation in higher education, scientific research, education, youth, and sports. They particularly focused on scholarships offered by both countries, visiting professors, joint supervision, staff training, curriculum digitization, student preparation, and their academic, educational, and sports programs.

The meeting concluded with a recommendation to present its outcomes to the Iraqi-Saudi Coordination Council to be implemented within the framework of joint cooperation and the development of bilateral cooperation programs.
