The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Karbala organized the fourteenth edition of the Students’ Products and Projects Exhibition, with the participation of students from the fourth stage of the college.
The exhibition, inaugurated by the University’s President, Professor Basim Khalil Nayel Al-Saadi, the Governor of Karbala, Nasif Jasim Al-Khattabi, and the University’s Vice Presidents for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, Professor Najm Abdul-Hussein Al-Janabi and Professor Akram Al-Yasiri, featured a variety of projects executed by the college’s students to meet many of the labor market’s needs.
The total number of projects showcased by the college’s students from various departments was 57, including 39 projects from the Computer Science department, 14 projects from the Information Technology department, and 4 projects presented by the College’s Consultancy Office.
Additionally, the University of Al-Kafeel, affiliated with the revered Al-Abbas Holy Shrine, participated in the exhibition by presenting some of its products and projects.
The exhibition, organized annually, provides an opportunity for stakeholders in the province to adopt some of the projects completed by students, which offer solutions to various problems in different sectors. Karbala province adopted five student projects related to traffic management, congestion reduction, and early fire detection using cameras that sense fires before they occur, as well as other projects related to electronic archiving, human resource management, and migraine detection.
