Minister of Education announces the admission of 152,782 students within the centralised admission channels

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr Naim Al-Aboudi announced the admission of (152,782) students to public universities within the central admission channels for the academic year 2025/2024. He explained during the special press conference the admission of (152,782) one hundred and fifty-two thousand, seven hundred and eighty-two students at the level of the general channel, direct admission, the category of martyrs and elite, as well as eleven other channels for the admission of various categories, including talented students.

He added that the minimum admission limits in the medical group stabilised in general medicine at (99.14), dentistry (98.29) and pharmacy (98.4), while the minimum admission rates in nursing did not fall below (89.57) and health technical colleges (89.29) and the average minimum limits in engineering (84.41) and science (80.97). Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr Naim Al-Aboudi directed universities to start student registration procedures and adopt the central admission results data published on the ministry’s official website (www.mohesr.gov.iq) and studies, planning and follow-up portal (www.dirasat-gate.org).
