The President of Karbala University, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, accompanied by the Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Dr. Khalid Al-Yasiri, visited the residence of the Karbala Student Sports Club football team, which is preparing to face the Al-Qasim Club team tomorrow.

Dr. Sabah Wajid said, “The student club represents the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in sports tournaments,” pointing out the importance of continuing to support the team and raise the level of Iraqi sports.
The university president stressed the need to provide all forms of support to the team in order to achieve distinguished results in the matches that the club is involved in.

Dr. Sabah Wajid praised the great role played by the club in enhancing the status of university sports and supporting young talents.

For his part, the team’s coach, Captain Bassem Qassim, the administrative staff and the players expressed their thanks and gratitude to His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, and the club’s president for their support for the team, appreciating at the same time the visit of the university president to the residence and providing support and facilities for the team since its arrival in the governorate.

For their part, the players stressed that this support is a great incentive to boost their morale and push them towards achieving positive results worthy of the club’s reputation and representing the Ministry of Higher Education in an honorable manner.
