Karbala University launches Global Entrepreneurship Week

The Technology Incubator Division at Karbala University launched the activities of the Global Entrepreneurship Week with the participation of various faculties of the university.

A group of university faculties are participating in the activities of the week, which is sponsored by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, and supervised by the President of Karbala University, Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali.

Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali and his assistants for administrative and scientific affairs, Prof. Dr. Jassim Al-Barrak and Prof. Dr. Haider Imran, college deans and a number of professors and students attended the launch activities.

“This distinguished event that embodies our common vision towards enabling creativity, promoting innovation and transforming ideas into a tangible reality that serves our communities and contributes to building a promising knowledge-based future,” said University President Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali, indicating that entrepreneurship is not just a business or an economic project, but a path that creates change and pushes the wheel of development towards a brighter future.

He pointed out that “the university seeks through this week to empower our youth with knowledge, motivate them with inspiring examples and encourage them to turn their ambitions into a tangible reality.”

For his part, the head of the Technology Incubator Division, Assistant Professor Ali Muslim, said that “the division is the implementing body for the various activities of the week in cooperation with the university colleges, indicating that the leadership week includes more than (100) activities that vary between workshops, training courses, seminars, scientific lectures and success stories of university students and professors, as well as a hackathon for software developers at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology.”

The Global Entrepreneurship Week is an annual event in which different countries around the world participate by organizing events, activities and competitions that inspire students to explore their potential as entrepreneurs, exchange knowledge and scientific expertise, develop academic skills, and encourage university students to innovate and entrepreneurship.
