Karbala University President receives Romanian Ambassador to Iraq

The President of Karbala University, Prof. Dr Sabah Wajid Ali, received the Romanian Ambassador to Baghdad, Mr Radu Octavian Dobre, and his accompanying delegation, during which they discussed the prospects of cooperation between the two countries in the scientific fields and means of enhancing them.

During the meeting, which was attended by a number of college deans and department directors, the university president stressed the importance of openness, joint work and cooperation between educational institutions in the two countries.

Wajid pointed out that this step reflects the university’s keenness to raise the academic level and enable students and faculty to achieve their ambitions by opening up to international universities and institutions.

For his part, the Romanian ambassador praised the educational environment provided by Karbala University for its students, represented by scientific laboratories and classrooms, as well as its holding of many memorandums of understanding and scientific agreements with reputable international universities.
