Education grants institutional accreditation to Karbala University

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has granted institutional accreditation to Karbala University along with a number of Iraqi universities.

The decision comes after the university fulfilled the strategic criteria that must be met by an educational institution, including governance, management, financial and material resources, faculty, students, scientific research, community service and curricula.

For his part, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr Naim Al-Aboudi stressed the keenness and commitment of universities to embody the requirements of quality and accreditation, achieve the mission and objectives of the educational institution and keep pace with the global path of academic education.

For his part, Karbala University President Dr Sabah Wajid Ali praised the ministry’s interest in the quality of education and institutional performance in accordance with the requirements of development and its global goals.

He pointed out that the granting of institutional accreditation came after diligent efforts by the university staff who worked in a team spirit to develop the educational environment and improve the quality of education.
