On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Assistant Lecturer Ruaa Abdul-Jawad Lafta, Head of the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, along with Assistant Lecturer Sara Jabbar Yaqub and Ms. Shaimaa Mazal Hadi, were honored in recognition of their outstanding efforts in promoting women’s rights and supporting their causes in society.
The honoring ceremony was held at the University of Karbala, attended by prominent figures from the Karbala Provincial Council and a group of female professionals.
The liaison team members expressed their pride in partnering with the Women’s Affairs Unit, reaffirming their commitment to raising awareness about women’s issues and the importance of providing a supportive and encouraging environment for them.
The ceremony featured various activities, including presentations on women’s initiatives, open discussions on ways to enhance women’s roles in society, and interactive segments that enriched the event.
At the end of the ceremony, certificates of appreciation were distributed in recognition of their ongoing efforts in supporting women and advocating for their rights.
