A Delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education Visits the College of Computer Science and Information Technology to Review Preparations for the Opening of the Cybersecurity Department

A delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research visited the College of Computer Science and Information Technology today to conduct a field inspection of the ongoing preparations for the opening of the new Cybersecurity Department.

The delegation was received by the Dean of the College, Dr. Mowafaq Kadhem Al-Hasnawi, along with the Scientific Assistant, Dr. Mohsen Hassan Hussein, and the Administrative Assistant, Dr. Essam Hamed Abbas. The college representatives provided a comprehensive overview of the department’s infrastructure, technical equipment, and specialized laboratories, in addition to the academic staff and the proposed academic plans.

The members of the delegation commended the efforts of the college administration in preparing for the department’s inauguration. They emphasized the importance of cybersecurity as a critical discipline in light of the growing digital challenges and stressed the need to keep pace with global developments in this vital field.

This visit falls within the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to ensure the readiness of academic institutions to establish new scientific departments in accordance with labor market demands and accredited academic standards.
