Ahmed Amer Ridha, a second-year student from the Department of Information Technology at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology – University of Karbala, was honored by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, in recognition of his outstanding contribution as a member of a volunteer team that actively promoted the culture of volunteerism within Iraqi universities.
The recognition took place during the First Conference on Volunteer Work 2025, organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The event was attended by the Head of the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Body, presidents of Iraqi universities, the President of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate, as well as a distinguished gathering of faculty members and students.
Representing the University of Karbala at the event were Mr. Amjad Al-Yasari, Director of the Student Activities Department, and Mr. Ali Subhi Asi, Head of the Volunteer Work Division, along with a select group of university students who participated in the conference activities.
