On March 10, 2024, the Secretary-General of the Arab Universities Union, Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, sent a letter of thanks and appreciation to His Excellency Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Iraq, on the occasion of the outstanding success of the General Conference of the Arab Universities Union, held in Baghdad.

In the letter, the Secretary-General praised the efforts exerted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Iraq, under the directives of His Excellency the Minister, which contributed to the success of the fifty-sixth session of the conference. He also commended the warm reception and quality hospitality enjoyed by the Arab universities during the conference.

At the end of the letter, the Secretary-General expressed his gratitude to His Excellency the Minister for the valuable initiative to establish the Arab Higher Education Area, and expressed readiness for cooperation and joint coordination to achieve this initiative.

The letter concluded with a confirmation of deep respect and appreciation from the Secretary-General of the Arab Universities Union.
