Cabinet honors two researchers from Karbala University as part of eight innovative cases at the Ministry of Higher Education’s National Career Day Festival

The Iraqi Council of Ministers honored two professors from Karbala University, Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Abdullatif from the Faculty of Science and Dr. Farhan Lifta Al-Taie from the Faculty of Engineering, as part of the National Career Day Festival held under the patronage of Prime Minister Mohammed Shi’a Al-Sudani.

Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud was honored for founding the first scientific journal for modern sciences with international standards, while Dr. Farhan Al-Taie was honored for publishing more than 235 research papers in local and international repositories, among eight creative cases from the staff of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

The National Career Day Festival was attended by the President of Karbala University, Prof. Dr. Bassem Khalil Nayel Saidi, and a number of academic and official figures.

Al-Saeedi said that honoring researchers gives them the motivation and incentive to continue working to advance the scientific reality and improve scientific outputs.

He praised the role of the Ministry of Higher Education, represented by His Excellency the Minister Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, for following up and completing the stories through the government program and the formed committees, and appreciated the efforts of the job creativity investigation committee formed by the university headed by Professor Dr. Laith Al-Qaraawi for its keenness and dedication in searching for creative cases and nominating those who deserve it.

Dr. Bassem Khalil Al-Saeedi distributed shields to distinguished employees in other ministries of the state.

The two researchers expressed their thanks to the Prime Minister who set a government strategy to pay attention to the segment of distinguished employees and researchers, and to create a competitive environment that serves the interests of all government institutions.
