Karbala University wins second place for patents in Iraq

Karbala University won the second place for patents at the Iraqi Science Day, where a new device for delivering DNA plasmide into plant tissues was manufactured using gold particles as an alternative to gold particles. The device was made locally by Dr Aqeel Nazzal Al-Abidi and Dr Aqeel Nazzal Al-Abidi: Dr Aqeel Nazzal Al-Abidi and Dr Ali Abdul Hussein Al-Rubaie from the Faculty of Agriculture.The device is dedicated to releasing DNA-coated particles and delivering them into plant cells with similar efficiency to devices manufactured by specialised companies…
