The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Karbala, in cooperation with the Technical Support Team at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, organized a specialized technical workshop on the Student Information System (SIS). The workshop aimed to develop work mechanisms and enhance efficiency in التعامل with electronic systems.
The workshop was attended by the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Dr. Haider Mohammed Imran, and the Dean of the College, Dr. Mowaffaq Kazem Al-Hasnawi, in addition to a number of assistant deans, registration officers, and departmental rapporteurs from various colleges, along with a group of relevant staff members.
The Dean, Dr. Mowaffaq Kazem Al-Hasnawi, emphasized that the University of Karbala is working— in coordination with the designated ministerial team— to develop practical solutions to the technical challenges facing registration units across colleges. He noted that there is variation among universities in the systems used to migrate and transfer student data.
Al-Hasnawi explained that the workshop was held to address these issues and overcome technical obstacles that may تواجه staff working with electronic programs, contributing to the standardization of procedures and the improvement of institutional performance.
He added that the university will announce in the coming days its full technical readiness to adopt electronic systems for administrative correspondence, while continuing to organize specialized training courses for staff to ensure smooth workflow and to enhance the level of services provided to students, faculty members, and employees.
