College of Computer Science Discusses a Master’s Thesis Titled“Abnormal Speech Restoration of Speech-Impaired Individuals Using Deep Learning”

The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Karbala held the defense of a master’s thesis titled “Abnormal Speech Restoration of Speech-Impaired Individuals Using Deep Learning.” The thesis was submitted by the master’s student Osama Ali Mohammed.

The defense took place at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, 22/12/2025, in Al-Khwarizmi Hall at the Deanship of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology, in the presence of the Dean of the College, Dr. Mowaffaq Kazem Al-Hasnawi, along with a number of researchers and faculty members.

The examination committee consisted of:

  • Assistant Professor Dr. Mohsen Hassan Hussein, University of Karbala, College of Computer Science and Information Technology — Chairperson
  • Assistant Professor Dr. Ilaf Ali Aboud, University of Babylon, College of Science for Women — Member
  • Assistant Professor Dr. Huda Fadil Alwan, University of Karbala, College of Computer Science and Information Technology — Member
  • Professor Dr. Noor Diaa Kazem, University of Karbala, College of Computer Science and Information Technology — Member and Supervisor

The defense concluded successfully, and the researcher Osama Ali Mohammed was awarded the Master’s degree.
