College of Computer Science Discusses Master’s Thesis Titled “Diabetic Retinopathy Identification Based on Deep Learning Models”

The College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Karbala held a discussion for the master’s thesis titled “Diabetic Retinopathy Identification Based on Deep Learning Models”.

The thesis was submitted by master’s student Fatima Jabbar Jawad, and the discussion took place at 9:30 AM on Thursday, April 10, 2025, in Al-Khwarizmi Hall at the Dean’s Office of the College of Computer Science and Information Technology. The session was attended by the Dean, Dr. Mowafaq Kazem Al-Hasnawi, along with several researchers and faculty members.

The discussion committee consisted of:

  • Prof. Dr. Baheeja Khudair Shakir – University of Karbala / College of Computer Science and Information Technology (Chair)
  • Prof. Dr. Sakeena Hassan Hashim – University of Technology / Department of Computer Science (Member)
  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohsen Hassan Hussein – University of Karbala / College of Computer Science and Information Technology (Member)
  • Asst. Prof. Dr. Ashwan Anwar Abdul Moneim – University of Karbala / College of Computer Science and Information Technology (Member and Supervisor)

The discussion concluded successfully, and the researcher Fatima Jabbar Jawad was awarded a Master’s degree.
