College of Computer Science Hosts Workshop on “Women and E-Governance”

The College of Computer Science and Information Technology held a scientific workshop titled “Women and E-Governance” in its department lecture halls, with the participation of several faculty members and students.

The session was led by Assistant Lecturers Mortaja Salah Mohammed and Ruaa Abduljawad Lafta. The workshop covered several key topics, including the role of women in promoting e-governance, the challenges they face in digital work environments, and successful examples of women’s empowerment in the field of IT.

It also highlighted the importance of involving women in digital decision-making processes and their role in building more transparent and efficient digital institutions—especially amid rapid technological advancement and digital transformation.

The workshop saw active engagement from attendees, with lots of questions and discussions that helped enrich the topic and raise awareness about the importance of empowering women in the e-governance sector.
