College of Computer Science Organizes a Workshop Entitled “Cyber Terrorism: New Threats in the Age of Technology”

The University Psychological Counseling Unit at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology organized an awareness workshop entitled “Cyber Terrorism: New Threats in the Age of Technology.”

The workshop was delivered by Assistant Lecturer Fadel Abbas Sabah and Assistant Lecturer Hussein Saleh Manakhoor.

The workshop included a discussion of the concept of cyber terrorism and its modern forms, in addition to the most prominent methods of electronic targeting aimed at individuals and institutions, as well as methods of protection and prevention in light of rapid technological advancement.

The lecturers also addressed the risks associated with digital crimes and the role of security awareness in limiting their spread.

The workshop concluded with an interactive discussion session during which attendees raised a number of questions and interventions, emphasizing the importance of strengthening cybersecurity culture within the university environment to confront the growing electronic challenges.
