The College of Computer Science and Information Technology organized an awareness workshop entitled “Handicrafts and Their Importance,” delivered by Ms. Nisreen Faleh Hassan, with the attendance of a number of faculty members, staff, and students.
The workshop addressed the importance of handicrafts as an integral part of cultural heritage, highlighting their role in developing young people’s creative skills, as well as their potential in creating employment opportunities and fostering a spirit of innovation.
The workshop also included a practical explanation of several simple handicrafts and ways to invest them in small projects with economic returns.
The lecturer emphasized that paying attention to handicrafts contributes to preserving cultural identity while simultaneously enhancing individual skills and developing artistic abilities, stressing the need to support such skills within the university environment.
