On Monday, April 7, 2025, Cihan University – Duhok announced the conclusion of the first training camp in the field of cybersecurity. The camp was organized in collaboration with the University of Technology in Baghdad and the Shield of Safety Center for Cybersecurity Services in Karbala.

The closing ceremony included the distribution of participation certificates, attended by the university president, Professor Dr. Zhirvan Abdulmuhsin Asaad, his assistant for scientific affairs Dr. Biyar Mohammed Rashid, along with several academic staff members and students.

Participants received specialized training under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Abadi from the University of Karbala and Professor Mohammed Al-Saad from the University of Baghdad. The training covered both theoretical and practical aspects of cybersecurity.

This camp represents an important step toward enhancing cooperation between Iraqi universities and developing students’ skills in the field of digital security.
