Continuing Education Unit

Introduction

The Continuing Education Unit is an educational and training entity that focuses on developing the skills of faculty, staff, and students of the college and university according to quality standards and academic accreditation. This unit also serves as a gateway for the college to positively interact with the community by offering specialized scientific workshops and training courses that meet the community’s needs in various fields of information technology.

Mission

Working to provide advanced courses and workshops aimed at positively enhancing the level of the college and university affiliates, as well as state institutions, and preparing them to deliver the best services to their communities. Additionally, providing students with practical skills to equip them for the job market and to serve the needs of our Iraqi society.

The Continuing Education Unit strives to offer high-quality training programs and workshops, providing comprehensive education opportunities and community service using advanced scientific methodologies and cutting-edge programs through the adoption of global quality standards.

Aims of the Unit

Unit Objectives:
1. Developing proposed training plans at the beginning of the academic year, encompassing all courses and workshops that align with essential knowledge needs.
2. Organizing training, developmental, and educational workshops for college affiliates, including faculty, staff, and students, in collaboration with the Continuous Education Center at the university’s administration.
3. Collaborating with other universities to enhance practical skills.
4. Conducting training and educational workshops for students to enhance their knowledge skills.
5. Contributing to the development of educational resources used in teaching.
6. Developing and enhancing research skills for university faculty.
7. Developing administrative staff in technical, managerial, linguistic, financial, and other fields.
8. Nominating individuals to participate in courses and workshops relevant to their specialization.
9. Collaborating with governmental and non-governmental organizations to implement joint training programs serving community goals.
10. Monitoring and tracking modern scientific and technological developments and disseminating them to relevant community segments effectively.
