During Chairing the 5th Meeting of the Advisory Board 2024, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi directed on automation of assessment tests for the academic year 2024-2025 and to proceed with the steps of establishing a college specialized in artificial intelligence.

Dr. Al-Aboudi emphasized on keeping pace with global knowledge and its developments and completing university procedures with a deliberate shift to electronic services that are part of the interests of citizens.

His Excellency urged continuing updating of curricula and educational programs, paying attention to developing students’ skills and qualifying them to interact with the local and global labor market and intensifying work to support the technical and vocational education sector, which constitutes the basic infrastructure for developing human talent and capabilities. 

The attendees reviewed a number of topics on the agenda and voted positively on the following decisions:

▪️ Preparing a strategic plan to support and develop research and study centers and strengthen their scientific fields in universities. 

▪️Inaugurating the Department of Health Physics and Radiotherapy Technologies at the College of Engineering Technology, Al-Furat Al-Awsat Technical University. 

▪️Inaugurating a Marketing Management Department at the College of Management and Economics, Tikrit University.
