During a meeting with the University of Baghdad Council, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr.  Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi urged on stimulating the scientific energies of faculty members and employing human potential in the aspect of teaching quality, developing scientific research and enhancing community service.

Dr. Al-Aboudi called on evaluating and reviewing the achieved goals, completed academic programs and study plans, and updating them by the strategic indicators related to improving and improving the educational process and its specialized services

His Excellency reiterated emphasizing on the requirements of global competition in university ranking, international publishing, and measuring the index of educational systems adopted in Iraqi universities based on development requirements related to the labor market and facing challenges.

Dr. Al-Aboudi stressed the need to strengthen cultural awareness and enable universities and their staff to embody their responsibilities towards society.

His Excellency said that the Ministry is working on integrating with the relevant sectoral institutions to provide support to faculty members and employees regarding appropriate residential lands.

Dr. Al-Aboudi reviewed the proposals and recommendations of the President of the University of Baghdad and the Deans regarding development procedures and initiatives aimed at caring for students and providing scientific, educational, and advisory services to public and private sector institutions.
