Education announces the results of the Iraqi university rankings

In order to develop the educational environment and measure the indicators of institutional and programme performance and scientific research, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the results of the Iraqi University Ranking 2024.

This edition, which was carried out by the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Agency, includes the evaluation of (100) governmental and private institutions compared to last year (95) institutions according to (10) special axes to measure institutional performance:

▪️ Global rankings 10%
▪️ Scientific research effectiveness 35%
▪️ Educational laboratories 5%
▪️ Evaluation of scientific and academic reality and compliance rules 5%
▪️ Faculty members 4%
▪️ Awards 5%
▪️ Diversity and International Cooperation 10%
▪️ Student Sports Club 3%
▪️ Occupational Health and Safety 3%

While (2072) scientific departments in (100) public and private universities and colleges were evaluated compared to last year (1875) departments in (95) universities according to special criteria for measuring the performance of scientific departments, which included

▪️ Quality and programme accreditation 50%
▪️ Faculty members 25%
▪️ Global rankings for academic disciplines 25%

The results of the ranking (https://iru.asse-gate.gov.iq) showed the Technological University in first place, followed by Anbar University and Al-Mustansiriyah University at the level of public universities, while Future University achieved the first place at the level of private universities and colleges, and Warith Al-Anbiya University came in second place and the Islamic University in third place
