Education Minister directs automation of assessment tests and the creation of a specialized college for artificial intelligence – Eye of Dubai


The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, has directed to automate remedial exams for the academic year 2025/2024 and proceed with steps to create a specialized college of artificial intelligence.

This came when he chaired the fifth meeting of the 2024 Opinion Commission in the presence of members of the advanced staff and presidents of all public universities, where he emphasized keeping abreast of global knowledge and its developments and completing the procedures of universities with a deliberate shift to electronic services that are part of the interest of citizens.

He urged the continuous updating of educational curricula and programs, attention to developing students’ skills and qualifying them to interact with the local and global labor market, and intensifying work on supporting the technical and vocational education sector, which constitutes the basic infrastructure for the development of human resources and capabilities.

The meeting discussed several topics on the agenda and voted unanimously on the following resolutions:

A strategic plan to support and develop research and study centers and strengthen their scientific fields in universities.

Department of Health Physics Techniques and Radiotherapy at the Engineering Technical College of the Middle Euphrates Technical University.

Department of Marketing Management at the Faculty of Management and Economics at Tikrit University.

Evening study in the Department of Translation at the Faculty of Arts and the Department of Artificial Intelligence at the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology at Anbar University.

Evening study in the Medical Physics Branch at the Department of Physics in the Faculty of Science at Babylon University.
