The QS World University Rankings: Sustainability 2025 has announced the results of its sustainable development edition.
The rankings (https://www.topuniversities.com/sustainability-rankings?region=Asia&countries=iq) Approximately 1,800 universities around the world competed in the ranking, based on a methodology consisting of indicators designed to measure an institution’s environmental impact (45%), social impact (44%) and governance (10%).
Eight Iraqi universities achieved competitive results in this ranking, led by Baghdad University, followed by Anbar, Al Nahrin, Babylon, Al Mustansiriya, Northern Technology, Tikrit and Mosul Universities.
More than 100 Iraqi universities and colleges compete with their counterparts in eight global rankings, making Iraq ranked 29th in the world in terms of the number of universities ranked in the Times World University Rankings and seventh in the Times Sustainable Development Rankings.
