The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, has approved the establishment and launch of Al-Batool College of Medicine at the University of Mosul.

The Minister also directed that the new college be included in the Central Admission application form for the academic year 2025/2026, allowing high school graduates from both the first and second rounds to apply in accordance with merit-based requirements and competition criteria of grade averages and total scores.

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research clarified that the creation of Al-Batool College of Medicine at the University of Mosul will enable students to update and confirm their choices within the Central Admission form should they wish to apply.

It is worth noting that the College of Medicine at Mosul University was originally founded in 1959, and that this newly established specialized branch will contribute to strengthening the university’s academic momentum by attracting students and expanding pathways for preparing medical professionals to meet the needs of society and the healthcare sector.
