Dr. Mohammed Abdul-Aziz Al-Tamimi, a faculty member at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Karbala, has recently published a scientific research article in the journal “Data in Brief,” published by Elsevier. The article is titled “Image dataset of healthy and infected fig leaves with Ficus leaf worm.”
This research presents a broad dataset that includes images of fig leaves obtained with precision from various geographical locations within Iraq. The dataset comprises images of both healthy fig leaves and those infected with the Ficus leaf worm. This pest poses a significant threat to economic interests, as its spread often leads to the shedding of leaves, resulting in reduced fruit production and tree mortality.
