For the first time in its history, the Association of Arab Universities held an executive office meeting at the University of Baghdad on the eve of the General Conference of the Union.

The executive office of the Association of Arab Universities held its first meeting at the University of Baghdad to discuss several agenda items in preparation for the launch of the Union’s General Conference, coinciding with its sixtieth anniversary.

Dr. Amr Ezzat Salama, the Secretary-General of the Association of Arab Universities, emphasized that Iraq is one of the founding member states of the Union of Universities. The presence of Arab university presidents to participate in the General Conference hosted by Baghdad for the first time pushes towards further integration among Arab educational institutions.

In this context, Dr. Bahaa Ibrahim Insaf, President of the University of Baghdad, welcomed hosting the executive office of the Union and the activities of the General Conference, which will provide a positive atmosphere for solidarity and scientific cooperation among Iraqi universities and their Arab counterparts.
