During a participation in the General Assembly meeting of the International Renewable Energy Agency, in the United Arab Emirates entitled “Outcomes of the Conference of the Parties (COP28)”, the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research reviewed that the meeting highlighted the infrastructure, policies and skills needed to triple the production capacity of renewable energy and accelerate the energy transition.
Higher Education demonstrated that the meeting reviewed the features of the strategic aspect for countries and regions of the world based on the outcomes of the Conference of the Parties (COP28) and the first global assessment of the implementation of the Paris Agreement.
Higher Education also reviewed the energy transition priorities and the steps necessary to accelerate progress towards doubling the production capacity of renewable energy by 2030.
It is worth to be mentioned that the Ministry’s was represented by Higher Education’s Deputy for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Adnan Ibrahim Abd Al-Jumaili, as well as participating of more than 1,300 participants from 144 countries with Ministers and executive officials.
