The official website (https://urapcenter.org/Rankings/2023-2024/World_Ranking_2023-2024) showed a ranking of (3000) universities around the world, while eleven Iraqi universities strengthened their positions in the ranking, namely the universities of Baghdad (1262) and the universities of technology (1671). Apple (2130), Basra (2164), Al-Mustansiriya (2249), Al-Mustaqbal (2315), Mosul (2362), Kufa (2523), Al-Qadisiyah (2729), Central Technology (2761), and the Islamic University (2836).
The URAP classification in evaluating performance depends on scientific indicators 21%, citations 21%, the total number of research papers 10%, the best articles 18%, total citations 15%, and international cooperation 15%.
Given that Iraq came to 37 after obtaining 13 special positions in the (Times) classification of the Iraqi entities competing in other global rankings that were classified by the diversity of subjects (World Classification of Academic Subjects) 2023 stands out in which the University of Baghdad emerged among Specialization (Dentistry and Oral Sciences), the (QS) classification, in which two universities were present, the (Scimago classification), in which forty-seven institutions were present, the (Greenmetric) classification, in which the number of Iraqi educational bodies increased to seventy-four universities and colleges, and the RUR classification, in which there were Fifty Iraqi universities joined and the Webometrics classification was added to it, which recorded attendance and competition from more than one Iraqi university and college.
