In the Second Scientific Conference, the Minister of Higher Education affirmed that International Recognition Granted to Iraq in the Field of Medical Education Marks a New Era of Academic Excellence.
During his speech at the opening of the Second Scientific Conference of Al-Bayan University, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Na’im Al-Aboudi, emphasized that the international recognition granted to Iraq in the field of medical education marks a new era of robustness and academic excellence.
He stated that the success embodied in achieving international recognition and accreditation reassures the public that medical education programs in Iraq are distinguished by a level of competency-based on global education standards. Moreover, this accreditation from the World Federation for Medical Education signifies a qualitative leap in cooperation in the field of scientific research and knowledge exchange between Iraqi universities and their international counterparts. It also encourages medical colleges to develop their educational and research programs, ensuring sustainable education and sustainable health, as well as fulfilling responsibilities to society, and reinforcing strategic objectives, driving them towards global partnerships.
The Minister emphasized that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is working diligently and in harmony with sectoral institutions to achieve developmental goals and meet their requirements extending until 2030. It adapts to changing circumstances and works to overcome them to ensure sustainable education and health, as well as fulfilling responsibilities to society and reinforcing strategic objectives, leading them towards global partnerships.
The conference included speeches by the President of Al-Bayan University and the Parliamentary Education Committee, as well as scientific sessions covering various medical fields such as dentistry, pharmacy, medical technology, and nursing. Distinguished researchers in these fields were also honored during the conference.
On the sidelines of the conference, Minister Na’im Al-Aboudi laid the foundation stone for the development and expansion of the university and inspected the reality of the dental clinics at the College of Dentistry and the central laboratories.
