International students studying at Anbar University honoured Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr Naeem Al-Abboudi for his efforts in launching the Study in Iraq programme and promoting scientific and cultural exchange between Iraq and the world.
The minister said the internationalisation of higher education policy adopted by the ministry has been translated into reality for the second consecutive year by attracting and admitting more than 3,000 international students to Iraqi universities.
He explained that this initiative provides international students with the opportunity to acquire knowledge from Mesopotamian and Mesopotamian universities and indicates the success of Iraqi institutions in linking their academic programmes with the variables of modern knowledge by formulating twinning opportunities with international universities in various programmes and disciplines.
For their part, international students studying at Anbar University expressed their gratitude and thanks to the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr Naim Al-Abboudi, for launching initiatives that contribute to improving the educational environment in Iraq and expanding international education opportunities.
