The Times Higher Education (THE) organization has released the results of its Arab University Rankings 2026, featuring 268 institutions from 18 countries.
According to the Times Higher Education website (https://www.timeshighereducation.com/world-university-rankings/2026/arab-university-rankings), Iraq recorded the highest representation in the ranking, with 57 Iraqi universities achieving positive results in this edition, which highlighted significant competitiveness among Iraqi institutions at the regional level.
The methodology adopted by THE for evaluating universities in the Arab region this year is based on the indicators used in the World University Rankings, which include:
- Teaching: 29.5%
- Research Environment: 29%
- Research Quality: 30%
- International Outlook: 7.5%
- Industry: 4%
These indicators collectively reflect the comprehensive performance of universities and their contributions in various academic and scientific fields.
