Iraq tops the list of countries with the number of universities ranked in the Times Arab Universities ranking

Forty-five Iraqi universities have achieved positive results in the Times Higher Education Arab University Rankings 2024 for the best ranked universities in the Arab region.

The results showed that 238 institutions from 16 countries competed on the indicators distributed in the areas of (Teaching 31%), (Research environment 31%), (Outputs research quality 24%), (International outlook 8%) and (Society 6%).

The University of Baghdad advanced twenty places compared to last year’s version to be ranked twentieth, followed by the universities of Technology, Mustansiriya, Mosul, Nahrin, Anbar, Babylon, Basra, Basra, Ma’ariv, Tikrit, Iraqiya, Al-Iraqiya, Al-Mustaqbal, Qadisiyah, Diyala, Karbala, Islamic University, Al-Ain, Al-Qasim Al-Ghadra, Dhi Qar, Warat Al-Anbiya, Wassit, Asraa, Farahidi, Middle Euphrates Technical University, Muthanna, Imam Ja’far Al-Sadiq University, Central Technical, Northern Technical, Southern Technical, Kirkuk, Missan, and Kurdistan Region universities
