The Department of Information Technology in our college held a seminar entitled “Iraqi Electronic Government and Governance”. The seminar addressed the basic concepts of e-government and the steps to implement it in all ministries of our country. Instructor Dr. Ziad Sabah Abir discussed the requirements for the transition to the application of e-government through the development of the infrastructure that supports the work of integrated systems and the creation of unified databases to accelerate the exchange of data among the different systems at the level of ministries and their affiliated departments. It was also pointed out that we need to expedite the enactment of laws related to electronic government/governance and to finish optical cable works for the purpose of providing a stable internet throughout the country
