The Department of Information Technology at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology organized on Thursday the 29th. of Dec. 2022 a student activity on the occasion of the advent of the new year. The ceremony was attended by a group of tutors led by the head of the department Dr. Zaid Nasrallah and the coordinator Mr. Ali Al-Nasrawi. In his opening speech, the head of the department stated “We look with pride at the accomplishments made in 2022 and aspire to more in the coming year, especially since the small IT family has begun to grow bigger as the department is now composed of three classes.” Later, the students who volunteered to raise the name of the department in external forums and competitions were honoured and praised for what they have achieved. The head of the department commented that these accomplishments made the department distinguished in the university and peers in other universities despite its recent establishment. He also promised to work hard to achieve the best so that the graduates of the department will be promising and influential in the labour market and scientific research. At the end of the ceremony, the head of the department thanked the audience and praised the wonderful organization.
