The Division of Women’s Affairs in the Presidency of Karbala University, represented by the (Linguistic Committee organising events and competitions), held a scientific workshop on Tuesday, 25/2/2025, entitled: (Arabic language and artificial intelligence) lectured by professors: M.D. Maha Sabri Al-Tamimi and M.D. Roaa Abdul Jawad Lafteh from the College of Computer Science and Information Technology. The workshop was held in Al-Khwarizmi Hall at the College of Computer Science and Information Technology

: The Arabic language, its status and importance, the reasons for its longevity, the challenges faced by the Arabic language, including the spread of melody among the tongues of its children and the lack of use of the classical language, as well as the technological development represented by artificial intelligence and other applications that have replaced Arabic in many citizens. Dr Maha talked about artificial intelligence, its stages and how it affects the Arabic language and proved that this feature cannot equal the Arabic language because the latter is a wide derivative language in its words and connotations, so the learner cannot rely entirely on this development, as most of its information is inaccurate.

The workshop concluded with a practical application where we presented a synthetic text to the AI and found that it is not qualified to pronounce or express it properly, thus concluding that the AI has not learnt all of the Arabic language
