The President of Karbala University, Prof Dr Sabah Wajid Ali, participated in the opening of the first Wareth International Conference on Cardiothoracic Diseases and Surgery in the presence of a number of local and international scientific and academic figures, as well as a group of doctors and specialists in the field of cardiothoracic surgery from around the world. The participation included the opening of a medical exhibition highlighting the latest innovations in healthcare. The university president was briefed on a wide range of new products in the field of medical devices, health data analysis technology, and innovative solutions to improve the quality of healthcare. The conference was organised by the Faculty of Medicine at Warith University in collaboration with the Iraqi Society of Cardiothoracic Diseases Middle East Branch, the British Society of Cardiac Surgery and the British Society of Cardiothoracic and Thoracic Surgery (BSCTS).
