Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr Naim Al-Abboudi honoured the first graduates of the 33rd session of the Iraqi Board of Medical Specialties.
In his speech during the graduation ceremony, he stressed that this new cohort of graduates of the Iraqi Board of Medical Specialities will be part of the area of achievements in Iraqi higher education thanks to hard work, dedication and commitment to developing the medical education environment in Iraq and advancing it to new horizons.
He added that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has given the disciplines and fields of medical sciences the necessary attention and made sure to provide the ingredients for success in its faculties within the environment of all Iraqi universities, calling at the same time to organise an international scientific conference for each new course after its graduation to support and align with the decision of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to internationalise education and establish partnerships and spaces for communication and exchange of experiences between local educational sectors and the global academic community.
The official ceremony included a speech by the President of the Iraqi Board of Medical Specialties, the graduates’ speech, the recommendation of the scientific councils and the decision to award the certificate, while the events concluded with the honouring of the first graduates by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, who expressed his confidence that the graduation of the 33rd session of the Iraqi Board of Medical Specialties will give new momentum towards investing and stimulating scientific research and feeding institutions with competencies armed with advanced training, scientific and applied programs and skills that ensure continuous performance and sustained determination to improve the level of scientific and educational services.
