Minister of Education honours top graduates at Kufa University

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr Naeem Al-Aboudi, honoured the first graduates of the 35th session of Kufa University.

In his speech, the Minister of Education expressed the commitment of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research to implement everything that would contribute to the advancement and development of the performance and excellence of university institutions, reaffirming the keenness of the Ministry and its universities, colleges, institutes and centres to observe its goals and mission in caring for students, qualifying generations and providing an integrated university environment.

He added that the graduation of the 35th session at Kufa University at this time completes the index of achievements achieved in two years of the Iraqi government and the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in terms of securing the path of the Iraqi certificate and linking it to international accreditation and global contexts, achieving competitive ranks in the ranking of universities and the rise of the Iraqi scientific research index in hospitals and harvesting the fruits of the Study in Iraq programme by attracting international students in Iraqi universities.

The graduation ceremony included a review of the graduates’ processions and the procession of the University Council, a speech by the President of Kufa University, Dr Alaa Naji Al-Mawla, a speech by the graduating students, the ceremony of awarding degrees to the graduates and the performance of the university oath for the students and the medical oath for the graduates of the medical group’s faculties.

At the conclusion of the graduation ceremony, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr Naim Al-Abboudi, honoured the first graduates and urged them to exert maximum efforts, harness the available energies and capabilities and work to adapt tools, technologies and research that enhance the capabilities of university institutions to understand and grasp the current challenges and requirements.
