The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research inaugurated a number of construction projects, halls and laboratories at Jaber Bin Hayan University of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Najaf province.

Inaugurating the projects in the presence of the university president Dr Ali Ismail Abdullah and members of the university council, the minister said that the opening of quality projects will enhance medical and health education and allow students and researchers to participate in research that contributes to the development of the health sector in Iraq.

He added that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is working to support new universities, including Jaber Bin Hayan University, and to develop their infrastructure and supply them in a way that makes them able to achieve their goals and mission and compete in international rankings.

The inaugurated projects included medical chemistry laboratories, medical analyses, the laboratory of the Faculty of Medical Sciences, the virtual anatomy laboratory, the halls of Sayyid Martyrs of Resistance and Scientist Jaber bin Hayan, and the building of internal departments
