The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Abboudi, inaugurated the new classroom building at Al-Nahrain University, stressing that he will continue to address lagging projects and develop the study environment of universities.
The Minister of Education said that the completion and development of university buildings is an essential part of the process of improving infrastructure, modernizing and developing its environment based on meeting the needs of the educational process, and achieving the goals and mission of higher education and scientific research institutions.
He added that work continues according to a vision and policy that aims to improve the quality of education and develop scientific research by modernizing laboratories and classrooms and creating an advanced educational environment that promotes scientific research and innovation in academic fields.
He added that Iraqi universities are committed to the requirements of the global academic context, which was embodied in the application of the Bologna process and the Study in Iraq program, obtaining international accreditation and competitive ranks in global rankings and the rise of its competitiveness index with universities in the region and the world.
In this context, the President of the University, Dr. Ali Al-Shawi, gave a presentation on the completion of the project, while the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, honored the engineering team responsible for supervising and following up the implementation of the new academic building, which includes 80 different halls spread over an area of 8100 square meters, in addition to exhibition halls, spaces and green spaces.
