Minister of Education inaugurates the Higher Institute of Justice Sciences for Postgraduate Studies

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr Naim Al-Aboudi, announced the opening of the Higher Institute of Justice Sciences for postgraduate studies at Al-Nahrain University.

In his speech during the opening ceremony, the Minister of Education explained that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research works according to regular steps and integrates with sectoral institutions to achieve its goals, meet its requirements, take into account changes, adapt to circumstances and overcome them in order to ensure sustainable education and performance of responsibilities, pointing out that the development of this type of specialised institutes based on master’s programmes in forensic chemistry, forensic engineering and forensic science will provide students with the opportunity to obtain specialisation in vital sectors and fields that overlap with justice sciences and play an important role in applying the law and protecting the rights of individuals and society.

He added that the index of achievements achieved in the educational institution during the lifetime of the esteemed Iraqi government was based on the quality of specialised programmes, the positive engagement of faculty members and the link between outputs and developmental needs.

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Dr Naim Al-Abboudi inaugurated the building of the scientific departments of the Higher Institute of Judicial Sciences, classrooms and the building of the Institute’s deanship, while honouring a number of specialised academic figures and representatives of security and judicial institutions.
