Dr. Naeem Al-Abboudi, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, received an official invitation from the Minister of State for Education in the United Kingdom, Gillian Keegan MP, to participate in the upcoming Global Education Forum scheduled to be held in London in May 2024.

This invitation was extended during a meeting with a delegation led by Deputy Ambassador of the United Kingdom in Baghdad, Ms. Rosie Kay, along with representatives from the British Council. During the meeting, the Minister of Education emphasized the Iraqi academic institution’s commitment to internationalizing education and enhancing educational exchange programs within productive international partnerships.

The visiting delegation highlighted that the achievements in the Iraqi higher education and scientific research environment merit placing Iraqi universities within the realms of scientific interaction and active participation in international forums, repositories, and competitive platforms.
