He held a meeting with the University of Baghdad Council, urging to incentivize scientific potentials among faculty members and utilize human resources in enhancing teaching quality, scientific research, and community service.

During the meeting, he called for evaluation and review of achieved goals, completed academic programs, and curricula, updating them according to strategic indicators related to improving the educational process and specialized services.

He reiterated the importance of considering requirements for global competitiveness in university rankings and international publications in databases, as well as measuring indicators of accredited educational systems in Iraqi universities, based on developmental requirements related to the job market and facing challenges.

He emphasized the reinforcement of cultural awareness and empowering universities and their staff to embody their responsibilities towards society, noting that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is working on integration with relevant sectoral institutions to provide support for academics and staff regarding suitable housing.

The Minister listened to proposals and recommendations from the President of the University of Baghdad and the deans regarding developmental procedures and initiatives aimed at supporting students and providing scientific, educational, and consultative services to public and private sector institutions.
