Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research honored the winners of the Ramadan Quranic competition held by the College of Engineering at the University of Nahrein.

The participating students competed in reciting verses from the Holy Quran before a specialized committee chaired by Dr. Rafi Al-Amiri. The Minister congratulated the winners and participants for their dedication and excellence in performance and engagement with Quranic themes during this holy month.

In his speech, the Minister emphasized the ministry’s interest in this segment of Quran memorizers and providing suitable environments for their care from admission to universities, enabling them to achieve their academic and scientific ambitions.

The Minister also revealed a project for a major national Quranic competition, to be managed and designed by a ministerial committee, which will provide the details within the Iraqi university environment.

The atmosphere of the Ramadan Quranic competition concluded with an iftar banquet attended by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, the President of Nahrein University, deans of colleges, students from residential departments, and international students studying in Iraq.
