Minister of Higher Education Announces the Ministry and Its Universities Lead State Institutions in Volunteer Work Initiatives and Honors Outstanding Teams from Fifty Universities

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, honored the volunteer teams from Iraqi universities in a ceremony attended by the Head of the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority, university presidents, the President of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate, and a large gathering of faculty members and students.

This recognition took place during the First Conference on Volunteer Work 2025, where the Minister emphasized that the remarkable contributions of both public and private universities in the field of volunteerism represent a living extension of the mission of higher education. He noted that these achievements, recognized both locally and internationally, reflect the Ministry’s active role in promoting social responsibility and fostering a generation capable of sustainable contribution.

Dr. Al-Aboudi further explained that the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research continues to lead state institutions in volunteer initiatives and remains committed to developing capacities, overcoming challenges, and intensifying efforts in this field through the enhancement of educational programs and the inclusion of content that strengthens positive values within the sphere of social awareness.

The conference concluded with remarks by Dr. Salah Hadi Saleh, Head of the Supervision and Scientific Evaluation Authority, and a presentation highlighting key achievements. The Minister then honored the volunteer teams from fifty universities, emphasizing that the strategic projects adopted by the Ministry and the pioneering accomplishments achieved over the past three years across Iraqi universities have reaffirmed the Ministry’s dedication to community service as a cornerstone of national responsibility.
