Minister of Higher Education Approves Granting Five Additional Marks to Address Student Cases in Second-Round Exams

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, has approved granting five additional marks to support student cases in the second-round examinations for both evaluative and non-evaluative courses across all academic systems for the 2024/2025 academic year.

According to the ministerial decision:

First – Courses subject to evaluative examinations:

  • (a) Students will be granted five supplementary marks added to their final grade in the second round for each evaluative course, exclusively, and for all cases requiring support.
  • (b) College/University Councils are authorized to grant five additional marks in exceptional cases for evaluative courses.

Second – Courses not subject to evaluative examinations:

  • Students will be granted five supplementary marks in the second round to reduce the number of failed subjects or to change their status from failure to success or conditional progression.
