During the meeting, the Minister emphasized the need to intensify efforts and enhance academic performance in response to achieved scientific indicators. He highlighted the responsibility of academia in contributing to sustainable development goals and actively engaging in scientific research, especially in health, agriculture, environment, and technology fields, while addressing societal challenges.

He urged for the nurturing of students, development of their skills, and motivation towards advancing their specialties through applied scientific research environments. He also emphasized the importance of international communication skills development and leveraging the positive climate within universities following the implementation of the ‘Study in Iraq’ program, which notably attracted international students.

The Minister listened to inputs and proposals from the President of Al-Mustansiriya University and deans regarding academic services, consultancy, diversification of educational programs, study systems, and interaction pathways with community service.”
